Olisur (Olivos del Sur) was founded in 2006 by the entrepreneur Alfonso Swett, owner of one of the largest economic conglomerates in Chile. After a trip to Spain, Mr Swett fell in love with olive oil trees and he started this ambitious project sure of the fact that the favorable land, ideal climatic conditions in the Colchagua Valley, and high quality standards would have guaranteed to obtain an extra virgin olive oil of outstanding flavor and quality.

Olisur, located in the Colchagua Valley, in the central region of Chile, has a Mediterranean-like climate and is renowned internationally for its high quality wine production. This region is an ideal environment for growing grape, citrus, and the olive´s varieties that make the taste of our extra virgin olive oils one of the finest in the world. The Valley is nestled inside two mountain ranges, stretching from the Andes to the Pacific Ocean and defining a corridor, where the olive trees are planted, in which the seasonal rains and cool sea breeze combined with very sunny and dry summers allow the fruit to ripen slowly on the tree, maximizing the intensity of its flavors and aromas.

Our dedicated process, from groves to customers, insures  that all our extra  virgin olive oil  is  the highest quality, with low acidity , never more than 0.2%, 0 defects and traceable to the source. 

Despite the fact that Olisur is relatively new in EVOO industry, must be mentioned that it’s products have won almost 25 awards in several international contest, and beating some traditional Olive oils from Italy and Spain, because of its remarkable flavor and very attractive look of their packaging. Our Extra Virgin Olive Oils have been highlighted in several articles of life styles magazines, and a very important Consumer Magazine chooses one of our oils N° 3 in September 2012.
